Things have got to CHANGE

I lost everything I worked for due to rogue customers, dishonest people, and a legal system that clearly doesn't work.

Building a Safer Environment for Consumers & Tradespeople

To save others from experiencing what my family and I suffered, I created a safe platform for consumers & tradespeople, where both parties will be valued and respected for being genuine and honourable.

MY MISSION

To build a safe, regulated environment that aims to eliminate dishonesty in the trade industry, and protect both the general public and businesses.

I believe by providing a platform capable of allowing both parties to prove to each other their intentions are genuine and honourable from the outset, we can achieve a community built on respect, honesty, and appreciation.

Together we can make a difference.

MY JOURNEY

As a tradesman, I found myself a victim of fraud on a number of occasions, so I am well aware of the issues that genuine consumers & tradespeople are facing.

I want to share my journey and the problems I experienced, as this is what has motivated me to take action and solve these issues for everyone.

LET'S START FROM THE BEGINNING

1994

In 1994 I set up my own roofing company called Lewis Asphalt. I worked 18 hours a day, 7 days a week, but it didn’t feel like work because I was passionate about what I was doing and wanted to be...

In 1982 I left school at the age of 16 with no qualifications

My career options were very limited.

I gained work experience through the government's youth training schemes, which were really just slave labour as there were very rarely any jobs offered at the end of the scheme.

In 1990, I started my first real job and career in roofing as an asphalt labourer, and then went on to become an asphalt spreader.

2003

In 2003 I approached my ex-business partner, Graham Kenyon, as I was looking to expand my business, with a view to acquiring his business, and take out one of my...

I decided to approach my ex-business partner to acquire the business I originally started with him, Humberside Asphalt, which I'd left to set up my own business as we wanted different things in life.

In 2006 Roofseal Roofing was formed and turned out to be a great success

It became one of the largest domestic roofing companies in the Lincolnshire area.

This was to be short lived due to the following sequence of events that resulted in me losing all my investments and businesses.

THE MORAL OF THE STORY

Our legal system does not work.

Dishonest people will continue causing heartache and misery in our lives.

Achieving justice is a long, costly process and not guaranteed.

THE SOLUTION

I believe the only way forward is to work on the basis that prevention is better than the cure.

By protecting each other, we are protecting ourselves. We need to hold dishonest people accountable for their actions, and make it difficult for them to operate.

Let's recommend the good, honest, reliable consumers & tradespeople, warn our community of the rotten apples, and gain peace of mind once and for all.
